Sophie Farmer, a longtime impassioned resident of Taos, NM, gracefully left our world to dance in Heaven on July 14, 2013. Sophie was a mother of three, Robert Rodney Archer (Irene Nichols Archer), Jacquelin Avery Carp (Douglas Carp) and Norma Jean Avery (KC Croswell), and was a grandmother of six, Damion, Danielle, Devon, Tania, Jordan and Patrick. Sophie was deeply involved in the Taos community, volunteering at many organizations such as Kiwanis, Taos Opera Guild, Holy Cross Hospital, Optimist Club, and Taos Fall Arts. Sophie lived out her final years in Half Moon Bay, just south of San Francisco, a place near and dear to her. Sophie did what God asks of us all and that is not to fear death as God promises to take us to a better place. Please remember Sophie as a vibrant beautiful soul who possessed grace and poise and who took time to smile at every one and gaze at the wonder of every sunset. At Sophie's request, there will be no services but we welcome your sentiments at
