Resident of Belmont

Cliff passed away at this home in Belmont after a long battle with COPD. Cliff was born in San Jose but grew up in Pescadero and graduated from Pescadero Hight School. He went into construction as an operating engineer until his retirement in 1993. Cliff spent 38 years doing what he loved most, as an Operating Engineer for Local 3, moving dirt.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fran and two daughters, Maggie Paalua of Pacifica and Katie (George) Mc Crosky of Gardnerville, NV along with three grandaughters, Kristy (Matt) Norberg, Gardnerville, Jennifer (Josh) Austring, Polsbo, Wa and Kerri McCrisky, Gardnerville and three great-grandsons, Cameron, and Levi Norberg and Tyler Austring. He is also survived by sister Yvonne (Rocky) Duarte of So. Lake Tahoe and brother Gary (Barbara) of Occidental.
Cliff was a 61 year member of the Native Son's Pebble Beach Parlor as well as a past president of this parlor in 1957-58.
