Beverly Frances Mosely

Beverly Frances Mosely , age 74, died peacefully at her Half Moon Bay home on August 16th. She was the daughter of the late Lester M. Stone and Mary A. Stone and is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Mosely. Beverly was born in Omaha, Nebraska but was raised in San Francisco where she attended Holy Names Elementary School, Mercy High School and San Francisco State University. As a long time resident of the Peninsula, she lived in South San Francisco and then Belmont for many years before moving to the coast in 2011.
Compelled by an interest in seeing the world, Beverly pursued and completed her AA in Travel and Tourism at Cañada College and spent many years as part owner of Ewald Travel Service in San Bruno. Many of her fondest memories involved her trips throughout Europe, Asia and South America. She was well known for speaking of or planning for her next great adventure to some exotic or historic destination.
Beverly was passionate about animals as well as their care and protection. Whether they were the family pets or the wild residents of the African continent, she treasured the times she spent with her animal friends. Her dog, Sofia and cat Heidi were her pride and joy and loving members of her family.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Moore (Robert), her son Mark Mosely (Denise), grandchildren Elizabeth Moore, Bradley Moore, Gabriel Gonzalez, Tatiana Quintanilla, and many wonderful family members, friends and caregivers who have enriched her life.
Services will be held at 2PM on Monday, April 22, 2013 in the Chapel at Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, San Bruno. Donations in her memory may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd, Kanab, UT 84741 or
